#12 ~ Professional vacuumer, that can't be all there is! Part 1

Ever since I can remember I have had animals. When I was growing up friends would call my house "The Paulazzo Zoo". My maiden name is Paulazzo. We had your normal pets, i.e. dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, parakeets, and a chinchilla . As I got older my pet count got bigger! Horses, goats, dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens and turkeys. My kids loved all the animals and they were great at raising the chickens, turkeys and goats. They always helped out with the animal chores. I did at times have to remind them, as they were typical kids, but it got done. My daughter grew up thinking she wanted to be a vet and she loved having her pets. She was my riding partner as well. Needless to say, we had our fair share of fuzzy and feathered family members.

Now that I am the ripe old age of fifty, I find myself with about the same amount of animals, but I have no kids to help with the chores that go with having animals. Besides the obvious of cleaning up after their poop, exercising them and bathing them, all of which I don't mind, there is VACUUMING! For those of you who don't know me, we have four dogs, basically a pack. Another thing you might not know about me, is that I am a clean freak. Can you see the challenge I face? I have indoor/outdoor dogs and cats; that is a lot of hair that is shed and I find it everywhere! The bathroom, floors, couch (no they are not allowed on the couch) and on my bed. The bed is my fault, because I let my Queensland Heeler, Happy, sleep with us. The others all have their dog beds and yes, I know that's not fair. Moving on.

Vacuuming is something I do on a daily basis, sometimes more than once. My husband makes fun of me because I have three different kinds of vacuums. Let me tell you, they are all necessary, as they do different jobs. The Pet Hair Bissell, the cordless Dyson and the hubbies contractor vacuum. Sometimes I feel like all I do is vacuum! (Oh Lord, that just sounded like my mom!) I can't blame anybody, because that's my job and I am partially to blame for having them. If you have a lot of animals, and you live on property, you're going to have hair and dirt. So I diligently vacuum, so that I don't have to see, walk on or sit in hair. Sometimes I wonder, "Is that all there is to my life? Vacuuming?" There has to be more....

  2. Dear Crazy Person (ie: Samantha),
I will admit that I like seeing vacuum marks on our carpet, but make no mistake, vacuuming is NOT fun, it is necessary if you have furs, but it's not fun.
Along with our 2 cats, and 1 amazing dog, we also have 2 Dyson Animals, a necessity in this household.
    😊
