The Merriam Webster's Dictionary defines integrity as 1: firm adherence to a code of especially moral and artistic values. 2: an unpaired condition : SOUNDNESS 3: the quality of state of being complete or undivided : COMPLETENESS. The Vines Greek Dictionary defines integrity as: in uprightness. To make this post interesting to people who would otherwise scroll over this due to not finding this thought provoking, I will add the Urban Dictionary. The Urban Dictionary defines integrity as: 1:Adherence to moral and ethical principles, soundness of moral character and honesty. 2: Doing the right thing, even when know ones looking.
I would think it's safe to say all three definitions are in agreement! So, I ask you.... Where are these people? What happen to people just doing the right thing? Most, and I mean MOST people know the difference between right and wrong. We all have a conscience, you know that nudging inside yourself, when we are about to do something, and you know the right thing to do, but you choose to do the otherwise.
People! When the book of your life is written, what do you want it to say about you? I'm certainly not going to tell you what it should read, but know this, you know what you want it to say, so do the right thing! Just start out by putting your shopping cart away and throw away trash that isn't yours if you see it laying there. This seems small, but when you start doing the little things, you will start making the right choice in the bigger things! Live a life as a person of integrity!
